Highlights

Even those with the grittiest of grit, started somewhere. Before they could change a tire with barely any tools, fix leaks with zero hesitation, or even fully understand the persistence, determination, and drive it takes to get both them and their motorbike to places most don't dream of...they too once stared at that machine of opportunity and dreamt of the day they would conquer it. Or quite simply to just turn that anxiety to excitement every time the pavement turns to dirt... In this 1 day class we teach the fundamentals and key differences between both on-road and off-road riding. From body position, braking, & clutch control, to just making you as comfortable and confident as possible on the bike. We'll answer questions, talk through basic maintenance, and work closely with you through practice. This is a low-key, un-intimidating class that's meant to be only as challenging as you'd like to make it.

Itinerary

While we have a classes posted, please give us a call if you're looking for specific dates. We have an option to do 2 evening classes rather than one full day, so if that's of interest to you, let us know!

8am - 4pm

Starting at 8am sharp, this packed day will start with some off-bike basics, introductions, and what to expect as you start your journey off-road. The day will be filled with drills and discussions focused on motorcycle basics, proper body positioning, and control techniques needed for off-road environments. Lunch is included, then we'll wrap the day with a recap and questions. This is a fun, low-key introduction to off-road riding!

Day 1 - 2

This is a fluid, easy going two day itinerary meant to be light, fun, and educational.

We split this course into 2 weekday evening sessions through the summer months. Starting at 5:30pm, our beginner evenings course works through proper body positions and techniques for both on road and off road riding. The day will be filled with drill practice & discussions. This is a great intro to motorcycles and a fun way to spend your evenings!

Things to Know

What’s Included

Riding fees & lunches are included within the base class price. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when submitting your registration form and we’ll make sure you’re set with options.

Not Included

Bike rentals, riding gear, airfare, lodging, and dinners. But we can help you with all those things! Just let us know what you need and we’ll help you get there. You can also add on bike rentals and lodging (when available) during the check-out process.

Required Riding Gear

Helmets, riding boots, and gloves are required for all classes. Body armor is strongly recommended. The more protected you feel, the more you’ll push out of your comfort zone and learn new skills. If you have any questions on your gear, hit us up anytime.

Deposit & Cancellation Fees

We ride rain or shine, but understand life happens.

Cancel within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund. For cancellations up to 3 weeks prior to your class, a credit for a future class of equal value will be issued and available for 12 months from issued date. However, no refunds or credits will be given for cancellations within 3 weeks prior to the start of the class and/or ride.

If you are unable to complete a class or ride that you started due to physical or mechanical reasons, you may be issued a partial credit to attend a future class or event within 12 months.

If a class or tour is canceled due to extreme weather or tragedy, participants will be given a credit towards equivalent class or ride of their choice on a future date.

Motorcycle Equipment

50/50 knobby tires are highly recommended, but this decision depends on the type of riding you’d like to do post class. If you can’t decide, give us a ring and we’ll talk you through brand options and types to make sure you have a tire suitable for you. We’ll also have tires on hand at the ranch if we need a last minute swap out.

High quality & strong hand guards to protect levers are recommended. We use and recommend HDB Ultimate Handguards.

Doubletake Mirrors help prevent damage to the expensive original parts. If you have your factory mirrors still on, bring a back up pair just in case or remove them before class starts.

Hard panniers can be dangerous & heavy, and are not permitted during training. Soft luggage can remain on the bike.

If you’d like a bag to carry snacks & water in, a small backpack or Camelbak is highly recommended. While learning body position through different drills, it’s most important to have the freedom to move around the bike as needed, so tank bags often get in the way. Small tail bags for snacks and tools works fine too. Just make sure it’s not too tall to prohibit movement.
